About the Youth Music Venue

About the Avon Rotary Corn Festival Youth Music Venue:

After the 2005 Corn Festival we got together to discuss what could be included in the Corn Festival to increase the involvement of teens and young adults. We also couldn’t help but notice the large number of youth bands that existed locally. So ….. Putting these things together was the birth of the Youth Music Venue at the Avon Corn Festival.

The event allows groups (or individual performers) the opportunity to play a 40 minute set of music in a great outdoor setting and to listen to other groups throughout the day. We try to offer a wide range of musical styles and encourage participation for groups both within and outside of the Avon area.

The event is sponsored by local businesses, organizations, and individuals. Without their support and the support of all of the volunteers and the Avon Rotary, this event would not exist.
